A "Land Before Time."

Since this blog is not only dedicated to fashion alone, I might as well share something informative to make it more lifestyle-ish. Some of you might not get what the title means. It's based on a 1988 animated movie about dinosaurs, "The Land Before Time."
Anyway, South Korea is big on festivals and expos. Speaking of which, Goseong World Dinosaur Expo 2012 is one of them. It is held in the town of Goseong-gun. The expo, which opened last March 30, will last for 73 days.

As seen along the highway before entering the site

They offer attractions such as 3D, 4D and 5D film viewing. It was such a downer, at first, since you have to stay in line for more than 30 minutes. But it was rewarding when you've finally reached your turn and appreciate why most people wanted to see it. "Cool!" would sum it all up. They also have the Dinosaur Garden and the like. While waiting in line for our turn to watch the 5D film, a parade passed our way.

Not just a childish delight, I have loved the banana split flavor for a long time now.

For this trip, I opted to wear a simple outfit, a grey jacket over a red-striped shirt and an orange belt paired with a comfy pair of dark denim pants. I wouldn't have enjoyed the trip if I hadn't worn my "walking-friendly" flats.

I also wore a couple of bling, grey leather studded bracelet, a ring with a black oval stone and a long-chained necklace with antique-looking pendant, so that the outfit wouldn't look boring.

Finally, I had my white sunnies on.

Informative enough? Let me know.

Quirky.

I'm really still an amateur when it comes to blogging. There aren't enough creative juices inside me that I can squeeze out. Not to mention the poses I made for the past few posts. I've been trying to keep it as simple as possible. But what the heck, I know some of us have that supermodel within us. I know I do.

With the help from my mentor and blogger friend, Hani, I came up with the title for this post. Quirky means something that is strange or not normal but cool, according to Urban Dictionary

Quirky is my new haircut and so are my shoes. I may not look like one supermodel but I'm on that high. Lavender mixed with leopard prints. Yes, quirky is the perfect adjective for it.

I apologize ahead for the next picture. It's quite funny to look at. I was trying to go for a sexy look. Instead I ended up looking like I'm constipated. Well, what's worth a good laugh, right? Cheers to me, for trying :)

Anyway, for this post I'm wearing a black blazer, button-up shirt, animal print leggings and my "quirky" platform sandals. I'm carrying a purple bag to complete the quirky ensemble. Accessorized my outfit with black crystal bead necklace, a studded bracelet in grey and a ring with an over-sized stone.
Happy weekend everyone!

Hair evolution.

Before I came to love this new hair of mine, I've always worn my hair straight and long over the years.  But that didn't stop me from experimenting on different types of hair cuts that would be suit me from time to time. Here's some of them.

long and straight

front fringes

medium length with highlights

permed

super short
So far, I haven't tried too edgy or too risky haircuts. But I hope to do it someday soon. Lesson for this week and maybe even for life, don't be afraid to try new things in life. You'll never know what best suits you.
Have an inspiring happy week everyone :)

Plain and Simple

A white top with jeans is considered to be an ordinary outfit on a rather hot spring day. But what if you've matched it with a pair of high-heeled sandals and some accessories? Would it still be considered plain and simple?

For this post, I wore a simple white top with sequined-detailing over a floral pattern for that touch of spring and a pair of dark blue jeans. You might notice I was wearing different pairs of shoes on some pictures. On the left, I was wearing a pair of high-heeled shoes in sienna with tassels and on the right, a pair of brown suede flats.

How I love adding accessories as details to my outfit. Here, I wore big-beaded bracelets in coral and teal and a ring with a turquoise stone.  Have a great Sunday everyone!

Young at Heart.

Fifth of May here in South Korea is a very special holiday. Not only is it marked red on the calendar but it is also a special day for kids. Hence, it is called Children's Day.
It is Korea's equivalent to Christmas Day. According to Wikipedia, 'parents often give presents to their children, as well as spend time with them. The children are taken on excursions to zoos, museums, and various venues of children-oriented entertainment.'

My friends and I went to Yongji Park in Changwon to celebrate children's day with our kids. I can't help but be reminded that I was a kid once. And because I can't help it, I tried to dress like one, too.

For this post, I opted for a simple dress with flowery details, a wide-gartered waist and a zip up in front. I partnered it with a pastel green cardigan and pink penny-loafers.

Sunglasses would have done it but a visit to the park wouldn't be complete without a hat to sport. Even though I'm not exactly a fan of caps and hats, I actually enjoyed having one on. Oh, and by the way, those accessories I'm wearing are from the Philippines. One was a necklace worn as a bracelet.

How's my posts so far?

Wind Blown.

Windy days are really part of spring. When I think of spring, all that comes to my mind is playing on a swing with the wind blowing delicately, leaving you feeling carefree. Thus, my inspiration for this next post.

This high-low electric-pleated yellow-orange skirt (now, that was a mouthful!) made my day. I wore a pair of suede 'mary janes' because it would go well with the skirt's unique cut. I loved how the wind blew my skirt. I got to play with it while posing for the camera.

That morning, though, I had a dilemma. What jacket would blend with this skirt? I gave this grey jacket worth a try. Paired with another one of my black tops with lace details and... Ta da! it worked. (Well, it worked for me ;))

To top it all, I added some embellishments like this necklace with a green ribbon detail, gold bended mandorla earrings, a gold ring connector, a ring with stone and my personal favorite, a grey Warhol Suede bracelet from Holic Accessories.

How's my post?

Another Try.

I wanted these photos to be my first article but I haven't decided on pursuing my thing for blogging then. I had my doubts as to where to get my inspiration for the next upcoming blog.

One Friday afternoon, my girlfriends and I decided to have lunch together at a place called "가얏골 감자탕"(Gayatgol Gamjatang, if i got that right!) which is just in front of Changwon Train Station.

Gamjatang, as defined in Wikipedia, is a spicy Korean soup made with pork spine, vegetables, green onions, hot peppers and ground wild sesame seeds, which in my case would translate into "YUMMY!"
After a hearty meal, I decided to pose for some pictures.

I wanted to wear a pair of jeans but didn't want to look so casual. So I paired it up with a black top with lace details, a chrome blazer and a pair of studded oxfords.

These earrings are so adorable I just had to wear them with the outfit :) How's my article? Tell me.
